Violent Femmes - Blister In The Sun

The Violent Femmes are a three-piece band that were formed in Milwaukee in 1980. In 1981 The Violent Femmes were heard busking outside a Milwaukee theatre where The Pretenders were due to play. They were asked to perform an acoustic set as support that night & were subsequently offered a record deal.

Blister In The Sun is my favourite Violent Femmes track and is taken from their debut self-titled album, The Violent Femmes which was released in 1982.

The track is currently being used in the UK for a Fosters lager tv commercial.
