Southern Accents is taken from the album of the same name, released in 1985. This was easily the best of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers many albums and Petty ventured out on his own soon after it’s release.

Although his later music found a larger audience, I am not alone in thinking that his best work was with the Heartbreakers up to and including the excellent Southern Accents.

This video is from 2006 and Tom is looking a fair bit older than I remember him, but still an excellent performance. But is it really necessary for one man to have so many keyboards?
