In 1987 while watching Saturday morning tv I first saw this video for the Sugarcubes debut single, Birthday and instantly fell in love with the Sugarcubes music, Bjork’s mesmorising vocal style, and the Icelandic language.
Bjork left the band after three studio albums and embarked on a successful solo career. But The Sugarcubes were a great band.
The single was released with both English and Icelandic versions. I still like this version more.
