Waterloo Sunset was released in 1967, taken from the album Something Else by The Kinks, the single reached number two in the UK charts. A beautiful track written by Ray Davies Waterloo Sunset typifies the quintessentially English sound that was to become associated with The Kinks.
It is somehow at odds with their earlier R&B driven output, but equally captures the bands unique qualities.
