Stereophonics & Oasis - I’m Only Sleeping, live MTV Unplugged

Stereophonics have made six great studio albums: Word Gets Around (2007), Performance and Cocktails (1999), Just Enough Education to Perform (2001), You Gotta Go There to Come Back (2003), Language. Sex. Violence. Other? (2007), and this years’ compilation – Decade In The Sun: The Best Of Stereophonices (2008).

They have had 25 UK hit singles including Have A Nice Day, Handbags & Gladrags, Maybe Tomorrow, Dakota, and Mama Told Me Not To Come with Tom Jones.

Their debut album was released in 1997 and spawned the singles A Thousand Trees, Traffic, Local Boy in the Photograph, and More Life in a Tramps Vest.

Stereophonics are Kelly Jones (vocals and guitar), Richard Jones (bass), Javier Weyler (drums) and Adam Zindani (lead guitar).

Here is a live MTV Unplugged performance of Stereophonics and members of Oasis, including Noel Gallagher performing a cover version of The Beatles’ I’m Only Sleeping.

They have made some well known fans and friends along the way, as this Unplugged performance proves.  In amongst the all-star audience you can see  the likes of Liam Gallagher and wife Nicole Appleton (All Saints), Ron Wood of The Rolling Stones, Kate Moss and Sadie Frost.
