Shocking Blue came from the Netherlands, as you will see from the clip, they had a hit with Venus in 1970, reaching number one in the USA and selling over 5 million copies around the world.
Shocking Blue made a hatful of singles, but to all intents and purposes ended up one hit wonders.
Venus has been recorded and re-mixed many times since this original version.
