This is the Moody Blues recorded in 1970 singing Tuesday Afternoon, a track from the bands second album Days Of Future Passed released in 1967. The album was one of the first such concept albums and was based around ‘every mans day from dawn to dusk, from awakening’ til sleep’.
The album also spawned Nights In White Satin is it’s second hit single.
In the late sixties The Moodies’ became the pioneers of both classical and progressive rock, this is the first of a succession of concept albums that moved the band away from R&B and into a new age of rock.
In the early seventies the Moody Blues were among the biggest live acts in the UK.
