Focus – Hocus Pocus Live – 1973
In 1973 a little known Dutch band named Focus gained overnight commerical success with two singles, Sylvia & Hocus Pocus. The success was mainly caused by a live performance on the BBC2 music programme, The Old Grey Whistle Test. This performance is now available on the first Old Grey Whistle Test DVD.
But here is a rare clip of Focus performing Hocus Pocus live on what appears to be an American TV show in 1973.
Imagine if this performance was on a contemporary music talent show such as Pop Idol or X factor. Heavy rock, yodelling, flute and whistle. This performance has it all!

A guy called Leon played this for us at school in 1974. Maybe he still has the album !
