Edgar Winter Group - Frankenstein, Live on The Old Grey Whistle Test, 1973
The Edgar Winter Group was formed as an outlet for American musician Edgar Winter to show off his talents as a keyboard player, vocalist, saxophonist and percussionist. According to Wikipedia, he is “well-versed in jazz, blues and rock.”
In 1972/73 The Edgar Winter Group had their biggest commercial success in the UK with the instrumental, Frankenstein. And though Edgar Winter continues to record and play live, he has never managed commercially success in the UK since.
This is a live version of The Edgar Winter Group on the Old Grey Whistle Test performing Frankenstein in 1973. Check out the facial expressions by the guitar and bass player - nice!
