Queen – Sheer Heart Attack

John Williams - Friday 20.06.08, 07:00am

This a good ‘live’ version of a great track. Sheer Heart Attack is not from the 1974 Queen album of that name, but from the later 1977 album News Of The World.

Travis – All I Wanna Do Is Rock

John Williams - Thursday 19.06.08, 07:00am

This is from 1997, a couple of years before Travis really hit it big. They look like kids in this corny video.

John Williams - Tuesday 17.06.08, 07:00am

This single from 1980 was exceptional, it really is a shame that the band chose to go down the more commercial route by covering old hits.
It was such a promising start.

Simon & Garfunkel – Homeward Bound

John Williams - Monday 16.06.08, 07:00am

Simon & Garfunkel had hit after hit in the sixties, creating beautiful harmonies and incredible songs, moving folk into main stream during the middle of the decade.
Despite the geeky look Simon & Garfunkel were both inspiring and influential to later sixties singer songwriter boom.
Homeward Bound was famously written at Widnes station in the UK, by [...]
