In 1985 Axl Rose & Tracii Guns decided to merge their rock groups Hollywood Rose and LA Guns, to form Guns N Roses in Hollywood, USA. The band kept their name even when Slash replaced Tracii Guns (Tracy Ullrich) on lead guitar later that same year.
