Reggae became synonymous with the Skinhead fashion around 1969, and although the fashion soon passed the music lived on.
This track is from 1971, it was anumber one hit for Dave & Ansil Collins called Double Barrel, and at school, an absolute must have!

Eddie & The Hot Rods – Get Out Of Denver
John Williams - Wednesday 13.08.08, 07:00am
I had all but forgotten this little gem from Eddie & The Hot Rods from the ‘Live’ At The Marquee EP in 1976.

XTC – Life Begins At The Hop. Top Of The Pops 1979.
Sheer pop-punk genius from Swindon’s finest. I had this on clear vinyl in a fold-out sleeve, some sly git nicked it off me. Contains probably the finest anti guitar solo ever!
Suggestions for a more under-rated band?
