Fun Lovin’ Criminals are too cool for words, but their sound is always so tight. Beautiful latin jazz/funk/blues/hip-hop/pop. No-one else doe’s anything like it. Genuine quality music.

James Taylor Quartet – J.T.Q. Theme Live at The Town & Country Club, London, 1991

James Taylor originally formed The James Taylor Quartet with fellow ex-Prisoners member Alan Crockford, friend Simon ‘Wolf’ Howard and brother David Taylor to perform some sixties cover versions in 1986. The original line-up went on to receive critical acclaim and record a John Peel Session before James disbanded the original group to create a more jazz funk sound. Brother David was the only other member to make the transition.

Here is a live performance form 1991 with James Taylor on hammond organ of course. Nice!

James’ brother is playing a wicked guitar, but what’s going on with his glasses? Were they fashionable?
