Madonna’s well oiled publicity machine goes into action again, as a demo of her new single Give Me All Your Love was leaked onto the internet on November 8th.  Unfortunately we are unable to show it here as it’s now been blocked but we thought we’d treat you do an old classic instead.

The single is expected to be the debut track from Madonna’s upcoming album, which will be her first since 2008’s “Hard Candy,” and her first studio release since leaving Warner Bros to join Live Nation. The full version of the track is rumoured to feature MIA and Nicki Minaj.

Madonna has already confirmed that she will release the album in spring 2012, with Give Me All Your Love expected to be available from February or March. Long-term collaborator William Orbit, who produced her 1998 album ‘Ray Of Light’, will work with her on the record.
The pop icon has also written a ballad for her new movie ‘W.E.’ which is also due to air in Britain early 2012.

The film which has been co-written and directed by Madonna, follows the life of Wallis Simpson (played by Andrea Riseborough) with a parallel storyline involving a lonely New Yorker, Wally Winthrop (played by Abbie Cornish), who is obsessed with what she perceives as the greatest royal love story of all time.

The screenplay for W.E. was co-written by Alek Keshishian who had previously worked with Madonna on her 1991 documentary ‘Truth or Dare’, which you might remember by its slightly more iconic name ‘In Bed With Madonna’. The movie also stars Oscar Isaac, Richard Coyle, James D’Arcy and James Fox and Laurence Fox.

Meanwhile, back in Tinsel Town, Madge is rumoured to be offering fellow Kabbalah follower Demi Moore spiritual advice and a shoulder to cry on after the actress announced she will be divorcing toy boy husband Ashton Kutcher after his alleged infidelity.

Both ladies are renowned for their youthful appearances and bodies that would put most younger women to shame but where Madge has achieved her’s through punishing exercise regimes, Demi was very honest in crediting the part surgery and liposuction played in sculpting the perfect body she displayed in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle back in 2003. Of course, I don’t think liposuction prices would have been a deterrent for multi-millionaire Madge and fragile looking Demi’s recent weight loss is sadly down to the very public break-down of her marriage.

Amy Winehouse was just 27-years-old when she was found dead at her home in Camden, north London, last Saturday.  The cause of death will not be known for up to four weeks as police await  toxicology tests, following a post-mortem examination carried out yesterday proved inconclusive.

Anyone who has seen videos of her last concert in Serbia last month has witnessed what a state Amy was in.  A stumbling performance that looks to be caused by a cocktail of alcohol and drugs.

Coldplay’s Chris Martin was quoted as saying: “This is the greatest thing that’s ever been organised probably in the history of the world.”

For many, the highlight of Coldplay’s Live 8 set was when they were joined on stage by Verve lead singer, Richard Ashcroft for a live rendition of ‘Bittersweet Symphony‘.

Fans of the duo have already been lucky enough to listen to six tracks which have been streamed by a US radio station, and the album will be on its way soon. In fact, the collection of tracks is set to be released around one month before Tron 2 arrives on the big screen.

The Tron Legacy movie is the long-awaited sequel to the original Tron title. Having been released in 1982, however, it’s fair to say that the first film may not be well remembered by many Daft Punk followers.

However, the 1982 release received a cult following, and calls for a sequel have been coming from sci-fi enthusiasts for many years. The second instalment picks up the former story as audiences learn that Kevin Flynn has disappeared from the real world. Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) goes in search of his father Kevin (Jeff Bridges), who went missing in a digital world of his own making more than 20 years previously. Helped along by female warrior Quorra, played by Olivia Wilde, the pair fight off an army of virtual villains. They are helped along the way by some amazing computer wizardry – and gadgets galore.

Directed in 3D by Joe Kosinski and produced by Steven Lisberger, the director of the 1982 Tron movie, this sequel promises much, and the soundtrack is set to make waves, too.

The electronic duo of Daft Punk, consisting of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, had a number of hits in the 90s and followed those up with two albums released in 2001 and 2005. Since then, they have produced music for video games and have even appeared in one. It isn’t clear if they will be in the Tron Evolution game, which accompanies the Tron 2010 movie, but given their talent for doing the unusual, it might not be beyond the realms of possibility.

Daft Punk even make their own screen appearance in the Disney Tron production as a couple of DJs in The End of Line club, which is hosted by Michael Sheen’s character Castor. It isn’t their first on-screen performance, however; they were shown as animated robots on children’s television back in 2001.

The pair have been careful not to reveal their identities in the past by performing with masks, never appearing in their famous music videos and not giving interviews. However, is this about to change with their appearance in the Disney Tron film?

With Daft Punk famous for their robot masks and their stage shows giving the impression that they are super heroes, the pair are the perfect choice for the new Tron film.

Making the award was veteran singer and actress Cher, and not to be outdone my the young pretender, the wily old fox had dusted down an outfit first seen in public over twenty years ago.

Frankly the see through nylon outfit should be consigned to the bin by now with some seductive stockings and lingerie in its place, but Cher does have her own tastes it has to be said.

Cher had joked before giving the award to Lady GaGa for the video Bad Romance, ‘I have shoes older than most of these nominees.’

“Back in the day, I used to get thrown off MTV for wearing things like this that seem so tame now. That’s when Lady Gaga was Baby Gaga. I’m the oldest chick with the biggest hair in the littlest costume,” said Cher forgetting to mention it was probably the oldest costume on display all night.

Reduced to tears and with the award in her hand Lady GaGa told the audience that she had promised herself if she won she would reveal the name of her new album and not to let herself down she did just that and announced it will be called Born This Way.

Cher, who was taking time out from shooting promos for her upcoming film Burlesque. in Las Vegas is also putting the finishing touches to her own album.

The MTV Video Music Awards took place on September 12th in Los Angeles.

Lady GaGa – Bad Romance

In the past seven years Kings Of Leon have produced four critically acclaimed albums and toured profusely to get to where they are today – one of the biggest rock groups on both sides of the Atlantic.

In 2003 they released their debut album, Youth and Young Manhood.  I loved the album for its raw edgy, original rough country rock sound and Caleb’s manic vocal delivery. The following year cut their hair and released Aha Shake Heartbreak.  Both albums helped Kings Of Leon to crack the UK market before doing so in the United States.  Great live reviews helped to cement their popularity and with the release of their third studio album, Because of the Times in 2007, Kings Of Leon had moved from cult indie rockers to mainstream rock band.

But it was the fourth album, Only by the Night, released in 2008, and especially the hits singles Sex on Fire and Use Somebody that Kings Of Leon took centre stage.  Commercial success was followed by headline gigs at prestigious festivals such as Glastonbury, V Festival and T in the Park.

This year they return once more for the UK summer festivals including V Festival on 21st and 22nd August.  But by way of underpinning the size of their own success they will be playing Hyde Park, London on Wednesday 30 June.
